With the Open Air Mind exhibition, Pratic presents the latest innovations offering cutting-edge technology and extreme comfort at the Salone del Mobile 2024
At the Salone del Mobile 2024, Pratic presents “Open Air Mind”, an exhibition of conceptual works and shading solutions that are the result of five neuroscientific studies carried out since 2018 in collaboration with the Universities of Modena, Reggio Emilia and IULM Milano. The Italian company, a leader in the field of designer awnings and pergolas, is pleased to share this research for free with all visitors.
The outdoor world evolves with the Carrera pergola
We are designed for living outdoors. This is affirmed by neuroscience, which reveals the lines of an ideal architecture, the one that the human brain has always desired and has never stopped searching for in outdoor spaces capable of giving complete well-being in a completely natural way.
Over time, cultural, aesthetic and neuro-cognitive predispositions have led to the creation of increasingly advanced outdoor structures, capable of combining functionality and design with the emotions and preferences of which mankind is more aware than ever before.
For Pratic, research necessarily meets design in versatile and sustainable shading solutions, conceived from the outset to meet our innate needs for comfort and well-being. Just like Carrera, the first outdoor shading system with alternating fixed and movable blades that can rise and overlap following the natural position of the sun, an evolution of the classic bioclimatic pergola.
With a single gesture, the movable blades lift and slide to disappear above the fixed ones in perfect alignment. Moreover, depending on the sun position, the blades move from right to left and vice versa and can stop anywhere in between.
The technology offered by the Carrera pergola provides superior lighting and climate comfort while also revolutionizing the set-up potential. This is, in fact, the first time that a pergola roof allows for the installation of suspended elements such as chandeliers, heating systems and more, offering a level of elegance and comfort similar to that of indoor spaces.
New accessories by Pratic
Pratic presents two new accessories: the Drapes elegant ornamental curtains, and the Mod-Lines modular aluminum system, an authentic equipped wall that can be installed along the horizontal profiles or on the fixed blades of the pergola. Completing the possible fittings are voice-controlled home automation systems and a wide range of optional extras, such as Raso vertical blinds, Glass Series perimeter glazing, Set modular platform, LED lighting, and electrical and USB outlets. These are all structural elements that allow people to enjoy the cozy spaces created by Carrera at any time of the year.
